The CRA is seeking new corporate members who share the organisation’s objective of improved recycling and reuse within the construction sector. Membership is open to any enterprise involved or connected to the construction industry, including those undertaking demolition, dismantling and remediation operations.
All members belonging to the CRA must adhere to the following CRA pledge and the CRA terms of membership:
‘We are committed to reducing, reusing and recycling waste material generated by our construction related operations. We pledge to maximise recycling rates wherever possible by utilising the latest methods and technologies available. We seek to comply with all guidelines and regulations relating to recycling within the construction industry and regularly review our corporate policies and procedures to ensure adherence.’
By joining the CRA, making the above pledge and adhering to the terms and conditions of the CRA, members make clear their intentions to reduce, reuse and recycle material arising from their activities to their clients, prospective clients, members of the public and governmental agencies.
Members also benefit from the dissemination of up to date recycling and reuse information and news which may assist in developing best practice techniques and methods.
The CRA will endeavour to canvass the opinions of its members in relation to all current and forthcoming recycling and reuse regulations, and communicate these opinions to appropriate government and regularity bodies.
All members will have their corporate profile added to the CRA website, and receive a membership certificate. The CRA will also seek to include, where able, articles and information about members in its regular newsletter ‘Recycling Alliance Journal’.
